Monica Lozada

Associate Director - Community as a Campus Education Initiative

Monica Lozada is a dedicated education and community advocate with a strong commitment to youth and family empowerment in Humboldt Park and beyond. She began her career in 2018 with the Puerto Rican Cultural Center, working in collaboration with Chicago Public Schools as a Home Safety Checker. At the same time, she supported the Sustainable Community Schools (SCS) initiative at Yates School, laying the foundation for her long-term involvement in community-based education efforts.

As the Community as a Campus Education Initiative evolved, Monica transitioned into a key role as an Outreach Coordinator. Her leadership and vision led her to also run the Youth Supports Program in Humboldt Park, further strengthening local support systems for students and families. She currently serves as the Associate Director of the Community as a Campus Education Initiative, where she continues to lead with impact.
