After School Initiatives

The Puerto Rican Cultural Center’s Community as a Campus Education Initiative operates two after-school programs at Richard Yates Elementary and West Park STEAM Academy.
Funded by the Illinois State Board of Education’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers and Chicago Public Schools’ Sustainable Community Schools initiative, these programs offer morning, after-school, and summer opportunities. Services include English and math tutoring, homework help, physical activities, and STEAM enrichment.
